Your Breath is the language of your soul and if you can breathe you can practice yoga. Yoga is far more than “asana” (the shapes we create in our bodies when we practice), I truly believe yoga is a lifestyle and mindset that anyone has access to. Yoga is the symbiotic relationship between the mind, body, breath and spirit. Yoga is learning how to become comfortable in the uncomfortable and how to access your own internal stillness when everything around you is moving at a fast pace. Yoga is the balance between effort and ease, the doing and the non-doing. What you learn and practice on your mat can be carried into your everyday life. Everything is a practice and the more you invite the practice into your daily life the more you will expand and grow.
The first time I stepped onto my mat in 2016 I knew I had found my home. My personal practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, confident and fearless, both on and off the mat. The more committed I am to my personal practice, the more I am able to come from a place of RIGHT ACTION instead of always REACTING to people, places and things that are occurring in my life. I completed my Advanced Teacher Training program in 2018 from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts with over 1500 hours of in class room teachings. My primary focus was on studio teaching, yoga nidra and holistic nutrition. I have been teaching yoga around the valley for over 5 years now.
I am here to help YOU the student rediscover your connection to your WHOLENESS and say YES to something greater than your small-self. I have just finished a trauma training program that will help human beings decrease stress and anxiety and improve their mental health and internal peace. In my practice I utilize yoga, prayer, energy diffusion techniques, emotional embodiment techniques, central nervous system balancing teachings, breathwork, yoga nidra and mindfulness to provide a safe, embodied and compassionate processing of trauma.
When I am not practicing or teaching yoga I enjoy spending time with my wife Danielle and our two dogs (aka fur babies) Scooby and Ellie. I am passionate about helping other human beings remember who they truly are, which is love. I am passionate about all sports, especially golf and I really enjoy connecting with family and close friends.
