Karmie

Always curious, Karmie was first introduced to yoga as a young child through a photo book of asanas. This introduction, though not proper, created an imprint in her memory, in her cells that brought her back to the practice, eventually. After experiencing life for a while and the stresses that accompany life, Karmie sought yoga. She found that a regular practice relieved those stresses like nothing else, not to mention the gains felt in her body. It was during her pregnancy with twins that Karmie found meditation. A difficult pregnancy elevated her practice. She experienced this truth: the greater the challenge, the greater the opportunity to elevate the soul. As life presented more challenges, with the loss of her father to cancer, Karmie enrolled in a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training, once again elevating her own practice as she studied ways in which to bring the practice to students. That was in 2009.

For years, Karmie was happily teaching yoga and being the best mom and spouse she knew how to be. She gave to her students, to the respected studio owners, to her family, to the schools where her children attended. With less time available, she prioritized herself less and less until her own cancer diagnosis came to light in 2018. This challenge gave Karmie the opportunity to level up once again. Learning about the energy body and modalities to further support it, Karmie became a certified Reiki Master, a certified sound healer, and a certified crystal healer and started Eir Vibrational Healing to bring her wellness services to her community. She never ceases seeking correct knowledge and elevating her own practice, her own existence, and ways in which she shares the practice with others, including each and every one of you. Karmie’s enthusiasm is contagious; her class offerings are intuitively guided from the heart. She will always meet you where you are.

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1:1, “atha yoganushasanam,” translated as “now, the practice of yoga,” is, in its simplicity, Karmie’s favorite; a gentle reminder of living in the present moment, learning in the present moment, and practicing in the present moment. No beginning, no ending, just now.
