About Laurie – Co-Founder
Laurie has been a physician assistant for over 20 years and currently practices gastroenterology. Life became overwhelming during her graduate studies and a colleague introduced her to yoga. For Laurie, yoga provided a quiet space to collect her thoughts and recharge from the demands of our world. This inspired her yoga journey and passion for finding light and love within herself. She has practiced yoga of many styles including Bikram, Ashtanga, Hatha, and practices meditation daily.
When her colleague, Shiv, excitedly came to her office and announced his idea of forming Forever Yoga, she jumped at the chance to bring her passion for yoga as a source of healing to the world. So many of our current disease states revolve around discord between the mind and the heart. Laurie believes that yoga is a wonderful way to bridge that gap of physical and psychological imbalance. Yoga has infinite power to heal our hearts, minds, and bodies.
