Root To Rise Book Study
About the Study
Root To Rise is a supportive, year-long book study designed to explore yoga’s ethical practice through Deborah Adele’s The Yamas & Niyamas. We’ll meet monthly for open discussion, journaling prompts, and support for creating change and developing your practice to weave these principles into everyday life. We will also stay connected between sessions through a WhatsApp group for weekly reminders and community check-ins.

Amanda is a yoga enthusiast currently working on her yoga instructor certificate.
She has a BA in Literature and Linguistics from North Dakota State University and enjoys discussing literary works to gain new perspectives.

Is the book included?
No, please bring or purchase your own copy of the book prior to the start of the book study.
Do I need to be a yoga expert?
No. Everyone is welcome, and everyone will benefit including both beginners and long-time practitioners alike.
Is there homework between sessions?
No required homework, but you’ll get the most out of the experience by engaging with the optional journaling prompts, practices from the book, and weekly check-ins via our WhatsApp group.
Is the price for the whole series or per session?
A generous discount is offered for participants who register for the entire year, and the best value is available when you take advantage of the early bird registration discount.
Is there a drop-in option?
Yes, you are able to join on a month-to-month basis at the price of $15 for members and $18 for non-members.
What if I miss a session?
Each month, we’ll share a short recap in our WhatsApp group so you can stay on track.
Can I attend virtually if I can’t make it in person?
No, this is an in-person circle, but the monthly WhatsApp recap will keep you connected.
